Vizify Analytics

Our Story

From colleagues to co-founders

Vizify Analytics emerged from the vision and collaboration of Max Kenney and Tim Archer, who began their journey together over a decade ago in the data and analytics consulting field. As colleagues and friends at Concentra Analytics (now OrgVue), they led a high-performing team of 30, blending Max’s expertise in data warehousing and engineering with Tim’s skills in business analytics and visualisation. Their complementary strengths enabled them to deliver outstanding, technology-forward data solutions.

The story behind Vizify Analytics

When their previous employer transitioned to a SaaS model, Max and Tim seized the opportunity to create Vizify Analytics, continuing their passion for data solutions with a trusted team and valued clients. Their dedication to innovation and quality has been the cornerstone of Vizify Analytics’ success and reputation.
Vizify Analytics was established with a unique culture of listening and asking the right questions, driven by one goal: helping organisations to trust their data.

The creation of Unify:
revolutionising data integration and insights

Their commitment to continuous innovation and delivering exceptional value to clients inspired Max and Tim to create Unify. This platform goes beyond traditional consulting by enabling swift integration of diverse data sources into a single, comprehensive pane of glass. Unify enhances data accessibility, accelerates insights, and empowers organisations to make data-driven decisions quickly and efficiently. With features like customisable web portals, scalable cloud architecture, and advanced security, Unify embodies Vizify Analytics’ dedication to pioneering data solutions that meet the evolving needs of their clients. Together, Max and Tim have built Vizify Analytics into a company known for its trust, quality, and value. Their journey is a testament to their dedication to innovation and client success.

Our vision going forward

Together, Vizify Analytics and Katalyze Data aim to deliver smarter, faster, and more scalable data solutions, now with an expanded range of services. Max started his career with a placement year at GlaxoSmithKline in 2006, where he got exposure to Business Objects. He knew he wanted to be a consultant, working closely with clients and technology. Upon graduating in 2008, Max secured a role with Concentra Analytics, initially gaining experience in custom web development, SharePoint development, and business intelligence. He took a liking to the business intelligence work and decided to pursue this as a career, specialising in data warehousing, data engineering, and report building. Max was known for developing high-quality, enterprise-ready data solutions, ensuring he always had happy customers. His technical prowess ensured every analytical project was robust and used best-in-class technology.

Outside of work, Max is a keen motorsport enthusiast, regularly competing in a karting championship. He fits this around his family life with his two young daughters and other hobbies such as mountain biking, outdoor cooking, and keeping fit.

PJ Walters

CEO of Katalyze Data & CCO of Vizify Analytics

Tim Archer: We’ve seen too many smart people spend their precious time on mundane, repetitive tasks that limit the value they can add to the organisations they work for. We work with our clients to automate these processes, allowing more time to innovate and create positive change. We know the impact our Services team have on organisations, and we know that technology can help accelerate solution design and build projects—this is why we wanted to arm our team and clients with tools, technologies, and methods that can deliver modern, high-value solutions at scale.

With the recent partnership with Katalyze Data, we now bring additional technical expertise and platforms to our clients, extending the ways we can support organisations in turning data into actionable insights.

Max Kenney: I always enjoyed working with our clients delivering high-quality, high-value work. I always gave my very best to the client, as I knew it was my personal reputation on the line if I didn’t deliver. As a result, I knew we had clients who trusted us as individuals and would be willing to work with us in the future. We also had experience running the team of consultants and exposure to many prior projects, which felt like we had the relevant experience to start Vizify.

Now, with Katalyze Data as our sister company, we can offer clients a broader range of services and deeper technical options while maintaining the same high standards and client focus.

Tim Archer: We had absolute confidence in our Services team and their ability to create value. However, convincing clients who did not know our new brand was more challenging. This inspired the creation of Unify. Unify provided us with something to spearhead our go-to-market strategy while acting as a proof point for prospective clients. Unify bottles up years’ worth of IP, built through delivering hundreds of projects, and allows us to demonstrate how we leverage technology to accelerate the design and build of client solutions.

Max Kenney: The great thing was that we had client work, a typical challenge you’d expect from a start-up. The main challenge was getting the systems, processes, and legal paperwork in place to allow us to transact with our clients. We’d gone from signing up new projects and starting them straight away to reviewing MSAs (Master Services Agreements) and employment contracts in a very short space of time.

Tim Archer: Technology, alongside Analytics and Consulting, is a core discipline that all employees at Vizify embody. It’s a shared passion, making it effortless for us to continually research, learn, and develop our skills, knowledge, and capability. We encourage everyone to push technology and search for new, innovative solutions to client challenges. We’ve got a great track record for identifying new technologies and adopting them early, ensuring our clients access the best technologies as soon as we can.

With the combined resources and expertise of Katalyze Data, we now have access to even more platforms, tools, and technical depth to ensure our clients benefit from cutting-edge solutions.

Max Kenney: We feel this is an important part of the consultancy aspect of our business. Being experts in the technologies and approaches we use is important so we can continue to add value to our clients. Our Partners keep us on our toes; they continuously develop their tools and release new functionality. We like to remain engaged with partners by attending their conferences, attending user groups, or continuous learning on the platforms by pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in client projects, or investing in learning and development for our team to continuously develop.

The Vizify × Katalyze partnership further strengthens our ability to stay ahead of emerging technology trends and offer clients the latest in analytics and platform solutions.

Tim Archer: We want to enable more people to make data-led decisions. Data should not be reserved for those who work in IT or Finance; it is for everyone to leverage in their day-to-day work. We believe that marrying data management processes with reporting and analytics consumption can greatly boost adoption and drive efficiencies in our day-to-day lives.

With Katalyze Data joining as a sister company, we can extend this vision by offering a broader set of services and capabilities to help more organisations scale insight delivery and make data-driven decisions faster.

Max Kenney: My ambition remains for Vizify to be an amazing workplace for our team and the “go-to” for analytical consultancy services and advice, by keeping at the forefront of technology offerings and building high-quality solutions for our customers. I’m currently seeing more organisations adopting the use of data and analytics, and I’m looking forward to assisting organisations in realising the value that sits within their data.

The partnership with Katalyze Data allows us to offer clients an expanded range of services across analytics, engineering, and managed solutions, helping them unlock more value from their data than ever before.
